Fishtown Action - FACT is a non profit community organization serving the Fishtown area. FACT began in January of 2007 when residents felt it was important to have a strong voice in decisions being made that directly impacted our community. FACT has taken an active lead in job development for the community during the worst economic recession since the Great Depression. Over a 14 month period FACT negotiated and signed a Community Benefits Agreement (CBA) with Sugar House Casino, the first casino in the City of Philadelphia and the largest business in the Fishtown Community. Some of the highlights of the CBA include the formation of the Penn Treaty Special Services District (PTSSD), a yearly monetary contribution to the community, job creation, an internship program for residents of the PTSSD, and the use of local vendors. Anual Events Spring Concert - Each spring FACT in partnership with Sugar House Casino presents an outdoor concert for the community! Refreshments are served as residents enjoy an evening of great music.
